lantern and basin placement

Hi,

I'm creating a tsukubai area in my garden, with a very low granite basin. I have a Misaki type lantern beside it placed on a rock that totals about 24" in height. It's set up to be a recycling water feature with a retention basin under the tsukubai and supplied by a kakei. The kakei is 28" tall but can be easily shortened and I'm undecided whether to have it above or below the top of the lantern. Is there a rule of thumb for the height of the outlet above the basin? The set up with a Toyo Nishiki Quince for a backdrop is very nice, I'm just being picky. Any help is appreciated.

hmmm, takes a long time to get an answer?
Steve,
Misaki are located on a peninsula or promontory,
normally in tsukubai, the spout should be below the middle pedestal on a usual lantern,
with Misaki, use as a 'portable lantern' set as though on a promontory to the side for the handheld light, place below the spout and allow the sense of the waterspout to emerge from the 'mountains' which is the quince in reality.
the height for the outlet above the basin is 15cm (usually).

I imagine you've already figured this out.
