You could try LA Iris, Japanese Iris or Water Iris.

Try the wild types: yellow flag , blue flag ,purple flag, white flag .

Iris versicolor, ensata, louisiana. Might be getting two warm in TN for some Siberians.

Yellow flag, psuedacorus is a banned plant in most states.

Flag is sort of just an old name for any simple old iris. Could be just about anything and not a water lover. Say blue flag up here and it's versicolor. Native to eastern bogs or it could be the old purple iris your great grandma grew. Bearded iris will rot and drown. Many of the old ones and near wild ones are called flags.

I don't think I would plant pseudacorus since they have a tendency to take over.

I have found that siberians around the outer edge of a wet spot do well in my garden. I have them planted on the edge of a bog with Louisianas.

Get early blooming JIs with three falls. The later bloomers don't always open and the six, nine, twelve falled all ball up in humidity.
