Do you ever do this?

I moved a couple clumps the other day. I didn't divide them or cut the foliage (which is still very small), I just dug them up entire, trying to disturb them as little as possible, and nestled them into their new spots.

What is your experience with bloom the same year when you transplant early and carefully?
