Two years ago I planted several bearded iris in the spring. They had great follage, but did not bloom until late September. I thought they were just confused by being newly planted and figured they would reset their schedule last summer. I was wrong. They all bloomed one week before our first frost! The flowers froze in October. I'm at a complete loss. They have the right light and soil. They were very high quality rhizomes and they were definately spring bloomers. Suggestions?
