Help me identify this iris?

I bought a whole bunch of Iris at a iris society sale. Of course, at the time I didn't even think about keeping the names of them.

Here's the first one to bloom.

I'm thinking that it's a Bold Future or Everything Plus? But I really have no idea.

Also, the top bloom is old now, can I cut that one off and not affect the rest of them?

Wow, that is a really pretty iris! Yes, cut off the top bloom with a really sharp kitchen knife - make an angled cut so rain will run off. This will have no effect at all on the rest of the blooms and it will make your plant look a lot nicer.

Thanks! But I went out to cut it off and I (luckily) noticed that there was another bloom right next to the spent one. I didn't know that they did that. I just popped off the old one. So now I have a stalk with 3 open blooms! It's so pretty!

Still haven't figured out what it is... I think I've ruled out Bold Future, but I'd love to have the name...

Maybe you can contact the Iris Soc whose sale you went to---they are local I assume? --- And ask them if they know the variety---those people are all pals & I bet they know who is growing what, in their circle.

I don't know Bold Future, but this flower looks like the Dykes Medal Winner (1991) 'Everything Plus'
