I would like to hear about the tray garden in the foreground. What can you tell us about that?

This painting showing many intresting point.

1) pruning of plume tree ;
2) The painting on wall is showing flower arrengement;
3) base of post in window /top of plum tree is very look
like of many Japanese temples's post;
4) palm trees next of stone; This is type of palm tree
use in Japanese garedn.
5) bonkei/or saikei . miniture landscape in tray.
6) Hibachi with chop stick
7) flower arrengement in round bowl
8) use of potted peony and decorative stand
9) samll girls scarf on her head, and small boys skull cap.

10. Between fundation of building and garden, there is
    some sort of drain of rain water ?
11. moon window...a round window.

most I am intrestng in this paint is that how pulm tree is pruned.
one of brach crossing is look like trained that way.
In Japanese garden pruning, prume tree is few exception that ok to cross branch. I have been wondering reason why for long time. In MR Saito Katuso 's pruning book, plume tree'branch is ok to cross, like letter of 'woman" of kanji chracter.
when I saw this painting I said my self "This is it" Mr Saito did not explain why it is ok to cross branch.
But I now know why.
