There has been a lot of discussion on the pond forum on this. Just do a search on that forum. There are also several websites. Search "Koi Ponds"
No one answered my question though lol What does this do to your home evaluation? Would assume that the evaluation would go down and therefore lower taxes??

I don't think they care what it does to the house valuation. They're just tired of paying the pool guy to maintain a useless pool. I'll hop over to the pond forum. Thanks.

I did it. Never regretted it. And the surveyor who gathers data for the new property valuations was here this week; I'll let you know the result when tax bills come later this year. :)

We dropped roofing liner in over the pool liner, changed the pump and filters and plumbing (typical 1.5-inch pool plumbing is too narrow for low-pressure, high-volume pond circulation). This is our fifth summer with the pond, and we love it.

I don't check this forum often, but you can do a search for my name over on the ponds forum and maybe find the threads where pool-to-pond people have waxed poetic.
