A few years ago I received what I was told was an African Iris....I didn't know much about them then and still don't know too much but have seen many African Iris's but never one like this. I am sorry I do not have a photo because I just moved and separated it, but hopefully if I describe it someone will know exactly what it is.

Instead of the wide iris like plumes of foliage, it is more grass like....it does have a tuber, and the flowers are creamy colored yellow with a little darker color (brown or purple, can't really remember) in the center. I saw something like it and read the botanical info sheet on it and it sounds like my plant, but now I can't remember the name of it...arggh... The description stated that it was something that bloomed at night, and the blooms only lasted a day or two...does anyone have any idea? Many thanks!!
