I have tried different passifloras in hydro (edulis, foetida, mollisma, and cerulea), & have found some varieties work better than others - the cerulea works best. The others seem to dwarf or just not grow. I start mine from seeds, & am just now experimenting with cuttings.
Nutrient difficulties can be difficult to diagnose because you need to look at different parts of the plant (roots, stems, stalk, buds, flower, fruit, overall plant), & ideally do a test  a leaf analysis. For example, interveinal chlorosis that starts first on the younger leaves can be due Fe & Zn. If it starts first on the older leaves it can be due to Fe, Mg, Mn, Mo, N, & K. Interveinal chlorosis that starts on the older leaves & spreads to new growth can be due to Mg, Mn, & N.
And to complicate things more, there is the effect of pH. Fe needs to be chelated, & pH can affect Fe uptake. Iron is a likely culprit, & when one nutrient is affected, others may follow suit.
One thing you might do is to flush your system & make sure you are using good hydro nutrient. You might need to clone another plant. Some growers swear by soil based nutrient for short term plants, but nutrient deficiencies will show up if you try growing long term plants. I have not seen anyone claim to grow a long term plant successfully with soil based nutrients.
Lighting is another factor  maybe some others can comment on the lighting aspects.
Tomato leaf curl can be due to an S deficiency, although I doubt that is the problem. EC/PPM can be the culprit  below are some threads discussing it. And as you mentioned, tomato diseases might also cause this.
