Iris help

I have lots of iris and want to trade them, my problem is I don't know what to call them. some have big blooms and the petals meet each other at the top w/3 petals hanging down (some are small blooms and do the same) then I have some that come up but don't totally meet at the top. I also have some w/ruffled petals that have HUGE blooms. does anyone know what these are called?

Without seeing pictures, the best I can do is speculate that what you have are different bearded cultivars, and possibly different classes of beardeds. This link will take you to a page that briefly describes different types and classes of irises:

My Irises seem to want to topple over. I'd rather not stake them; doesn't seem any one else has the same problem.
