you could always try Ebay. Take a good photo of the group and state in the listing that they are pick-up only. best of luck to you.

Have you tried posting on other pond message boards? There are several that are much more active with many more members than this one.

Actually , you realy don,t have to worry , Koi are algae eaters , the only reason we feed them is for our enjoyment , koi can go for as much as 10 days without any food at all . their growth of course will not be like that of a Koi thats fed 2-3 times a day 7 days a week , but properly net the pond to keep out intruders and they should be fine

You can use a net. Also they sell an auto feeders. But if you have a power outage you may have a major pump failure . if the pump sucks air when the power comes back and your not around.

Please tell me how the fish in small ponds breed. We have six golden and white fish 2 to 21/2 inches long. They survied the snow and are looking healthy now. I want to change the water,was wondering if there are fish eggs on the leaves in the pond which I may disturb.Pl. advise. Veena

We used a floating alligator decoy in our pond and worked like a charm. 24/7 protection, from herons and raccoons. We actually got it since a racoon had decimated all our very large koi, except for 3, over a week. He actually also destroyed all of our pond plants as an extra bonus as well. Haven't had any problems since we added the gator. It's also quite handy for scaring the relatives and guests. Definitely worth a shot for those with pond predators lurking nearby.

Oh thats a good idea with the floating alligator decoy! That one looks kinda realistic too. You should make his eyes light up at night. That would be very creepy lol. Are their eyes green or red at night? I can't remember..

I have also heard of using a cement tunnel that is submerged on the bottom of the pond for fish to hide in. They can escape birds and raccoon that way.
