new Iris pics

I planted some Irises about 2 years ago and they were supposed to come up purple, they came up copper, I got some from a friend and they came up purple. I wonder why the others did not come up purple, but anyway here is a picture of the copper ones and a picture of the purple ones. They are all so pretty.{{gwi:1021028}}

Since Iris are transplanted while they are not blooming, often they get mixed up. Your supplier must have slipped in some copper ones by mistake. I'm glad your friend could supply you with the color you wanted. They are pretty!

I love purple and copper together. Rhizomes often get mixed up. I just had an orange iris pop up in the middle of 20 orchid ones.
