Peonies!!!! Wow! It's gorgeous. I swoon over them- we can't really grow them here.

That Blueberry Fudge is an unbelievable color.

We are sometimes told we can't grow them here, but there is adequate chill hours for most things...just not the extreme cold.

I had believed for years that I couldn't grow peonies, bu decided to try it. I was taking pictures of roses and was looking at the foxglove that was beginning to open when suddenly, I realized the buds on the peony were beginning to open too! I was quite excited.

I had seen Rita's Blueberry Fudge picture and was so disappointed when mine didn't bloom last year, so was very pleased to see the beauty this year. It's one of those , like Gypsy romance, that have such intense color they almost look they've been photoshopped, but are just that intense.

Beautiful photos Kay! Love Blueberry Fudge. I only have one peony blooming right now, Rosa Plena I think it is called, & it has been simply beautiful this year. Supposed to rain heavily the next few days so I'm sure that will be the end of it. That is the trouble with peonies, especially the double flowered ones, storms just do them in.
