Hi All,

I read through all the posts on overwintering hydrangea's Macrophyla and serratta.

I am confused about zone and the need to protect them through the winter.

I was told and have read on the web that my zone 6B southeast PA that these are hardy and do not need protection.

But I see on this web that others in zone 6 needed to protect them .

What is the real story ?

I Have 2 bushes that I planted this year and they did very well and I would like to see the best show next year .

Do I need to protect them in my zone.

Both are in sheltered areas against the house .

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Laura
