Good Morning!

My name is Candy, and I live in upstate NY. First I have to tell you how much I am enjoying this forum. So many knowledgable (sp) people! I am not new to gardening, but I am new to Iris's. A few years back I got a few and really liked them. Then life got in the way and I put them on the back burner. Then the next year again, I realized how much I liked them. I saw many pictures of all the different Iris's and fell more in love with them. I did purchase a few pretty ones (I am not one for names). This year they bloomed, and now I have really fallen in love with them!!! So I did something about it. I have purchased a few dozen of them, and plan on getting more! (I feel like I am in a 12 step program LOL). So next year, I will hopefully have many Iris's. I asked my husband to expand our flower bed for them. He has agreed. Here are pictures of the few I have.

Hi Candy, Welcome. Sounds like you already are in to deep to get out, who wants out though. I started with just 3 that was given to me and 4 years later I have almost 2000 different ones. Dorothy from upstate NY I have about 200+ blooming now.

What wonderful pictures...

A little word of advice~~at least keep a list of the names that you buy..One of these days you might decide to try to id them and with a list at least you have somewhere to start.

Besides with names you can trade with other iris lovers for other named ones..

Thanks everyone!
Walter I am sorry I dont have names for any of them.

As advised, I will start keeping names, and trying to remember all of them (or writing them down). As for acerage, I have that too. But, I have to get my hubby to make me more gardens. Thanks again everyone.
