Thanks so much, I've googled frank adams and the photos are very similar although they appear to be a deeper color than mine, this could be due to conditions. Any chance you have a photo of yours?
Thanks again,
chaz

Here is mine

Thank You! I love having iris with a history. My oldest is Florentina Alba, not the prettiest in the garden but it has class for sure!

Chaz - Somewhere in one of my (many) gardens I may still have that one. It was my mother's, and my plan is to someday plant a bed of just the antique iris that I have. As I recall it was very fragrant, but sadly I never knew the names of any of her iris. They were given to her w/o their names. I'm glad this has jogged my memory to start focusing on where I can put a bed of the old ones. Hopefully, I still have most of them -- somewhere.

Kitty,
are you familiar with the Presby Memorial Iris garden in Montclair NJ? Years ago I purchased a bunch of un-named rhizomes at their early sale, picked up late july/early august. One of the varieties they included was the florentina alba which dates to the early 1500's! I had them all I'd at one time by a friend from the BBG, of course that's the only one I remember! LOL
I've misplaced a few of my oldies and am trying to replace them myself. BTW, check you're email If you havent' received on from me through here let me know.
