Yellow flag blooms

Our Yellow Flag pond plant survives Colorado winters (6,200 ft. above sea level) and always regrows to be very large -- 5+ feet tall and over 6 feet in diameter  but there are only one or two blooms each year, even with fertilization tablets. It is as if the fertilization only goes to the stems, not to encouraging blooms.

Thanx in advance for your suggestion(s).

Sincerely,

Bob Bronson
