I haven't grown this one but I've seen it listed as a half runner, not quite as tall as a pole bean but it throws out runners that twine around whatever is available. The Amish often grow it with corn, grows about 5-6 feet tall.

I don't think I've ever grown a "half runner" before ... I guess if it grows upwards and twines then I should probably just grow it AS a pole bean, on a pole in the area with the rest of the pole beans, and just expect it to be a bit shorter??? You just grow it the same way as a pole bean?

Amish Gnuttle is a dry pole bean. It is not for eating as a fresh snap. My vines grew to about 6-7 feet. It has very good production. It also goes by other names, Mayflower being one of them.
