If your beans look like mine, then what you have is a lima.

"Madagascar" was reported to me as being tropical, so I had serious reservations about them reaching maturity for me. Those fears were unfounded. It has a moderately late DTM; but with transplants, I was able to get nearly a full harvest even in my short summer. It should do great in NC. Give them a tall trellis, and space them about 24" apart.

I have other question Zeedman:D I have grown couple dif.varieties of peas my fave so far is "caselode", this spring I planted the last ones and Johnny's doesn't carry them anymore,so I was wondering if saving seeds from my last batch will be a good idea?,in the package does not said to be a hybrid...we mostly eat them at the garden with the kids last year not a single one made it to the kitchen...yummy!

Itzybitzy, there are no hybrid legumes currently being offered commercially, so no worries there. The seed you save would grow true to type. However, if the other peas that you mention were blooming at the same time & in close proximity, it's possible that there might have been some crossing. Chances are that any crosses you might get would still be good, though... maybe even interesting.
