Could be a pardalinum.

So why would pardy, a west coast species, wander over to Texas? Hmmm.... Maybe superbum? Another look-alike is L. occidentale. I suggest you do a little research on which wild lilies grow in Texas. Or maybe it was planted there? Are there other patches? Or maybe it is a pardy hybrid (known as the Bellingham Hybrids). Lots of possibilities, but I am afraid I have exhausted my reference books on this one!

Hi
Pardalinum, LOL, the answer to your question is I don't know, but a lot of the natives all look like pardalinum or slight variations of it. Of the natives I only have pardys and vollmeri which is a pardy, and something given to me as western wood lily which also looks like pardy but I am told it is not. I hope to soon acquire more designated as 'early', 'late', and giganteum - guess what I think they look like pardys. Can never have enough.

Hmmm... well it could very well be the Carolina lily (see post several below this one). At least it is a southern specie. Yeah, they all look like pardys... seen one seen 'em all.
