I grew half a dozen plants of garden soy 41 last year (they only sent the one). Took a while to mature, but they were reasonably productive. Not edamame though. We ate the shellies anyway and they were good.

This is a great program by the NSRL. It calls to mind some of the wonderful public-domain breeding programs of years past. Not many of such programs anymore, most research & breeding now is for patented life forms... all the more reason to express our gratitude & appreciation to the NSRL.

I requested seeds some years back, and really enjoyed Gardensoy 24; it was comparable to some of the better edamame varieties I've grown.
