    The bookcase height is 36 on the left and 30 for the desk on the right side. The doors on the left are 24" wide. The room was built on location by the contractors carpenter.

    How heigh is the ceiling? Who makes the bookshelf cabinet door hardware? Interesting that door height is 36". Should I do 30", 32" or 34"? My ceilings are 8'. Thanks!

    The ceiling is nine feet, the height for the doors includes the entire bookcase OAH, which is 36" I would not make the cabinet less than 36, it will be too low unless you are looking for the retro 50's look. If you noticed the crown that was put in and the baseboard, if you use similar looking trim pieces and paint the room the entire room one color the height will appear to look high.
