Looks just like my Kiwi Full Monty. A nicer plant than Striptease IMHO.

Too blue for striptease. Looks like my Kiwi Full Monty.

Check the hosta library. 4th pic.

Thanks so much, you guys ( and gals) are fantastic.
The 4th pic is unmistakable.
Looks like I need to get one too.
It's beautiful.

This may not exactly be Kiwi Full Monty and it may not exactly be Striptease...

Many of the Striptease plants produced and sold in the Netherlands are a bluish variant. Striptease was a green plant without any blue wax, but some Dutch growers ended up propagating a bluish version of the plant, though it isn't the same as Kiwi Full Monty.

KFM is one of the bluest hostas in my garden over the course of the season, holding the blue color for a very long time in the summer. When I once had some of these bluish Striptease their color wasn't nearly as intense and didn't last as long before the plants were green. So they were similar but not quite the same, and as a reference I have Kiwi Full Monty plants from the originator.

If this plant really does stay blue for a long time it sure could be Kiwi Full Monty. Otherwise might just be one of those off types of Striptease.

Chris

for comparison, here's a picture of my 'striptease'. looks a lot like the one you've got. i find it hard to tell the difference

Moosenoz's Striptease looks more like my Striptease than the one Maggie showed.

I'm still voting for Kiwi Full Monty, though Chris has enlightened us greatly on some Belgian hosta info!

Chris, thank you for the information re the Netherlands.
If Kiwi Full Monty stays blue for a long time then I want one too.

Moosenoz, your Striptease is beautiful, so healthy and not a blemish in sight.

Here's the two together. Striptease(from 2001) and Kiwi Full Monty (from Hallson's 2008).
