Lycoris squamigera are available from both White Flower Farm and Brent and Becky's. They are 3/$20.00 from WFF and 5 for $28.00 from B&B's. They are not really lilies but are in the amaryllis family. I also saw some on e-bay. Google the botanical name above, you may find more sources.

The problem with common names - naked ladies - is that they often apply to more than one plant :-) 'Naked ladies' is also the common name most often used with Amaryllis belladonna -- in fact, this is probably the most common usage. Both the Lycoris and Amaryllis share the same attribute of producing flowers on bare stems before the foliage appears or after it has died off and gone dormant, hence the "naked" portion of the name. Most bulb catalogs offer these bulbs - they are not exactly uncommon, although the amaryllis is not as winter hardy in your climate.
