I have some asiatic lilies that were planted last year. I planted them too close to a perennial that I did not realize would have a huge spread (Persicaria Polymorpha). The lilies bloomed but were really "drowned" by the Persicaria.

Would this be a good time to move them? They are showing about 1 inch above the soil. Some look like they've multiplied too. I am Zone 5, Chicago area.

Another transplant question:

Last fall I "temporarily" planted some orientals in a holding bed because the main garden was too stuffed with blooming dahlias to get in and dig. I marked the spots with stakes. These have not yet emerged from the ground. Should I move these too, now, or should I wait til I see growth? Since I can't see where they are under the ground I'd just have to be really careful.
