Ok silly question here. I have never planted pole beans before, what is the white mesh netting for? We will be planting pole purple hulls next year.

The white netting is one of many options for giving the beans something to twist about as they climb.

Its nicer than some types of fence because the openings are large enough to reach through.

It requires good support though.

In case anyone is having trouble finding this netting,
I got a package of it online through "Lawnsandbirds".
I got the 5'x30' package. I just hope I don't get totally tangled up in it!

You should be able to set it up pretty easily and your beans will love it.

I've always found it easy to handle.

Walmart sells it too.

Johnny's sells two kinds of white plastic netting with about 6-inch large openings:

Trellinet
Hortonova

I've used the 79-inch wide netting for pole-bean trellis and have been very pleased with its performance. The 79 inches fit the height of my trellis.

The Walmart here doesn't sell it.
