Is it safe to assume....

... that bulbs with different coloration are indeed different varieties?

Backstory: Tonight, I HAD to dig up a big hole full of at least 4 different varieties for relocation. I was careful and only lost 1 stem of about 10 big bulbs.

I separated them by their general location and color, but I ended up with about 6 different varieties. Since some of the tags blew away, I'll have to wait till bloom to figure out what they are.

But, in the mean time, is it safe to assume that a bulb that's white with a reddish stem is not the same variety as a bulb that is cream/light yellow?

Also.... the bulblets... how deep do I plant those?
