New Lilies

Newbie to this plant. I have what I think is a Tiger Lilie planted in a pot. It has already bloomed and the flowers have fallen off. Is it done for the season already?

When would be the best time to transplant it into the ground? I would like to leave it in the pot for as long as possible this season. Thank You.

Yes, it is done for this year. You can keep it in the pot till fall. In your zone, October or November is a good time for planting Lilies in the garden. Do not cut the stem if it is still green. It will feed the bulb for the next season.
