Annette, my Flamingo grew over 8 feet tall then crossed over into the next row. So 8 feet is a good size for Flamingo. I posted a picture on the Florida site and have given some seed away to others.

i grew johns purple on a couple of tomato cages, one upside down and secured to top of the one in the ground. it grew to the top, a typical pole bean, but no giant. the bean itself is going to be yellow in case i didn't mention it.

Thanks Keith, it looks like I can use one of my shorter poles for this one. I'm using a repurposed flower bed for these last 5 bean varieties, the poles will be fairly close together so bagging some of the flowers will on the agenda.
