Not yet. But mine don't look well. Have several lilies turning yellowing from the bottom up and I'm sure I'm going to loose them. Had a planting of 25 orienpets that never even sprouted. Also had 8 orientals that failed to come up. I know we had a wet spring, but these were all planted in a well draining spot.

This is an all too familiar scenario for me. I lost several lilies this year due to higher than normal rainfall. They sprouted, then after enduring rain and more rain, they started yellowing and dropping leaves from the bottom up.

Thank you for the input -- I guess this could be my problem as well. We have had more rain than normal and then hotter temps and drier than normal -- the elusive "normal!" I guess I will wait and hope they recover and bloom better next year!

Since I have to plant in clay, I always plant lilies with at least 3" of pea gravel beneath the root. That way, no matter how much moisture they get, it alway drains away from the root. I have had much better luck this way.

I had a Scheherezade die off from the top ! At one point, it just sort of stopped growing, the buds dried up and died, and then the leaves at the top of the plant began to yellow and wither off. I snapped off the dead top as it obviously wasn't going to flower. Anyone seen this before ?

botrytis? sp might be one explanation for drooping buds and stain on the leaves/ flowers

Update: I finally got one spectacular bloom from two stalks -- the foliage still looks green and healthy with no yellowing. I will hold out hope that next year will be better.
