I have a couple of big patches of toad lilies and never have a problem moving them around or dividing them any time of the growing season. My only advice would be to follow the general rule for dividing and transplanting----do it on an overcast day, if you can, work fairly quickly, and keep everything well watered afterward. Good luck!

Thank you, Kathi. Glad to hear that it can be done safely...will certainly take your advice regarding a cloudy day and watering.That's all I needed to hear...it confirms what I thought too...they are tough plants.
