Earlier this year, I tried to grow seedling transplants indoors from seed under a grow light. Unfortunately I didn't have success with this at all.

I'm wondering if the wattage and brightness of the grow light I used wasn't bright enough?

People are probably going to say (this is preemptive) 'whether or not your light is bright enough depends on how many seedlings you were trying to grow'.

It was basically just one flat of seedlings, the flat I used held 60.

It was 24 watts, and most grow lights I see in seed catalogs range from 40 watts to 54 watts. Also the grow light I used only had one light, most ones I see in seed catalogs have two 40 watt grow lights.

I'm wondering if I should switch to one that has two higher wattage grow lights, as opposed to the grow light system I have that only has one low watt bulb.
