I'm in zone 6 and my lilies are about half way through. If you only planted 'asiatics' then your missing out on the best. Mine start as martagons, then asiatics & LA hybrids, trumpets and orientpets & orientals. Black Beauty and Speciosum are some of the lastest bloomers....Aug/Sep here.

Hi! We just moved into a new house this year, and some lilies popped up in front this spring.. I'm not sure what kind they are.. they look just like the lilies in the second picture only orange with black spots inside.. They also have seeds at the base of each leaf.. but I haven't been able to figure out what kind of lilies they are.. are they trumpet lilies?

I've got a crazy weed vining up the lilies too.. I don't know what the weed is either but it was pretty so I left it :P

They look like tiger lilies. The black seeds will fall off and root and in 2 or 3 years you'll have more plants. You can also plant them if you want to be sure that they will sprout.

There's this farm that specilizes in growing lilies called Bloomingfields Farm Daylilly Nursery that has some great lilies that bloom into Oct. Hmm, checked out their website, nice but I found only daylilies (hemerocallis) not true lilies (lilium).
