Need iris info link

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I picked up several rhizomes at a plant sale and I know their names but nothing about how tall they grow etc and I can't remember their colors now. Is there a good website where I can type in their names and get that kind of info?

Alternatively if someone is feeling ambitious maybe you might be able to help me with the details?

I have:

Golden Raspberry

Peach Royal

Amethyst Dancer

Shine on Through

Wearing Rubies

Pacific Bell

Dutchmans Dream

Purple Pirouette

(obviously some of the colors are obvious)

Thanks!

Thanks Randy for the links. How did you get that enlarged picture of Christopherson's Shine On Thru? I can only see small pics at his site. They do not enlarge.

    Hi iris_gal california,
For Shine On Thru, I left clicked small picture, which took me to another page with the description, right clicked the small picture\properties and copied the location or url, pasted the address in address bar, went to that address and to my surprise the picture was large.

    Mark,
We're coming to a crawl now.
Gypsy was introduced I'd say pre 1947, I don't have the '49 Iris Checklist to find a description. The first child or offspring from it in the 1959 checklist was registered in 1950.
There are tons of Gypsy Somethings out there, but "Gypsy" is very old.

Approval '95/96 Graeme Grosvenor TB 38" S/pale blue F/white edged pale blue, darker blue hafts, yellow beards tipped blue.
This is an Australian iris. Graeme lives in Dural, New South Wales, Australia
May be hard to find a picture of this, since probably not to many made it to the states.

    Cheers,
    Randy

Gypsy TB-M-S4M Klein 1944 I think the S4M is the description but I am not sure how to translate that to a color. I think the S4 means yellow toned self. Lee Mincy

    Mark,
I'll give you the last decription, can't find a picture. There is probably one in an older Blyth catalog.
Foreign Knight '96/97 Barry Blyth TB 38" S/oyster, midrib mushroom F/reddish rose, faint oyster wire edge, bright red tangerine.

    Lee, great information, Thank you.
S4M color must be from a color chart other than the RHS.

Here is a link that might be useful: RHS color chart
