Early iris blooms?

I've got some potted iris plants. I planted the bulbs in April 2005. Last winter, they stayed outdoors and survived (neglect didn't hurt). They didn't bloom last spring, though. The plants look pretty healthy, though.

It struck me that they might like wintering in my the greenhouse. They have already been through 10 or 15 freezing nights, so they might even bloom early if chilling is a requirement.

Any comments on the greenhouse move? Any chance it will help me get some flowers?

Maybe you're being too nice to them?

Irises are tough garden plants.

(I'm in zone 8a in Texas, brutal summers, winter temps probably 10 to 12 degrees the lowest, & irises thrive here.)

They need to be planted shallowly:
The very top of the rhizome at the end where the leaves emerge should be visible above the soil.

They like the soil to be a little dry-ish.

& they do make very long roots, so maybe they need deeper soil than the pots can provide.

I'd put them into the garden in full sun & see what happens.
