almost any pre-mixed general potting soil will be fine. avoid hyponex!

I repotted my Lucky Bamboo into soil. The soil I used was a moisture control potting mix tossed with orchid bark. It was recommended and my plant has grown quite nicely. I kept it well watered for about six weeks to make sure it made a nice transition.

I used the Expert Gardener Moisture Lock potting soil that I found at Wal-Mart for like five bucks. My bamboo is thriving, and I don't have to water that often because the soil keeps the moisture and gradually gives it to the roots. I water when I think about it, which is just about every weekend. The bamboo has grown about two inches since I put it in, and that was only three weeks ago.
