Lucky bamboo advice

Hi I have this Lucky Bamboo that my brother got me on Green Day and I put it in a vase but I want to put it in the ground, but since I live in Mississippi. I've been growing it in nothing but water. Im afraid it will die on me if I put in the ground without getting advice and it's already got a flower on it. Im not sure what to do please help me

What does the flower look like?

If it really is a flower, then it's not a 'Lucky Bamboo', is the reason I am asking. Are you sure that it's not just a side shoot?

"Lucky bamboo" is really dracaena, a common houseplant. It is native to tropical areas and will not survive frost. If your winters ever get frost (below 32F), then it will not survive outdoors.

You can grow it in soil as a indoor house plant. Simply pot in good houseplant soil, water when dry and keep in moderate light.
