What were the other 3 bulbs you planted and where did you get them from? Unless they were really small bulbs the worst that should happen is that they are "set back" a bit. I.e., the bulb will get a little smaller (instead of growing larger) and next spring your lily plant would have fewer blooms than it otherwise would have.

Its just like weeds that have underground rhizomes or bulbs, you have to pull them up for a few years before they will die.

Disbudding the plant would probably help to minimize bulb weakening since it will be one less source of energy use for the plant. Wait to move them until the foliage dies down, which may be later than normal for these bulbs. It doesn't matter if you wait until winter, as long as you can dig the dirt up you can plant lilies.

I got a pack of 6 Vermeer asiatic lilies on sale at Fred Meyer. Three that bloomed were definately Vermeer and the remaining three should be the same. All of the bulbs were pretty much the same size.

One didn't come up at all, maybe next year. But I get the feeling the other two that came up are not Vermeer asiatics. Their foliage has a more blueish tone, the leaves are shaped and spaced on the stem differently. They also have bulbils and a red streak through the stem.

I'll be happy with whatever they are. Thanks for the comforting advice.
