In order of bulb quality (freshness of digging, size, available variety) which not so surprisingly correlates with $$$$.

The Lily Garden > Brent and Becky's Bulbs > Van Engelen.

Van Engelen is by far the thriftiest place and has a good selection. While I've had success with their bulbs, they are smaller than the other companier. The bulbs in this years shipment that I just received were noticibly small. Also they don't have spring sales, so if you want any of their lilies you need to order this fall.

The Lily Garden, has mostly unique lilies (many the product of their own hybridization efforts), grow their own (vs. importing), supply large freshly dug bulbs. They have an amazing selection of unique beautiful lilies and those are the ones I'd buy from them, (since they are expensive). Personally, I'd buy Casa Blanca elsewhere. But anything you buy there will be very high quality. Brent and Becky's is a nice compromise inbetween these two sellers.

I also ordered from The Lily Pad this fall, for the first time, and they look good. (They are priced like Brent and Becky's.) I won't know until this spring how they work out.
