When to divide & replant rain lilies

I offered to share some of my red rain lily bulbs with a friend out of state then realized that I know nothing about lilies, bulbs, transplanting, nothing. She is in lower Florida and I am in upper Gulf Coast, Texas so climate isn't a problem. But...

When is the best time to dig them up? Do I dry them out before shipping or ship them as soon as they are out of the ground? Best way to ship?

    Do you still have red rain lily bulbs? I have the pink ones, but would love to incorporate red.
