I planted some "sale" lilies this spring (May), mostly asiatics. They looked firm when planted, some with shoots. But most did not bloom. I assume the ones with top growth will bloom next year. Those looked pretty normal except for only growing about a foot tall. But some had no visible growth at all. Does this they are total goners or is there a chance they were putting out roots and will grow next year? Wishful thinking?
