I have grown radiata for about 3 years & are doing great, really starting to multiply now.

I'm in zone 6B and had my lycoris radiata bloom this year for the first time. I had assumed they were dead since it's been several years since I planted them. I agree with one comment that said the blooming is determined by space aliens. :) I am planting more this fall, but have found MANY conflicting statements regarding depth to plant. I've found 4 sites that say plant leaving top exposed or just below soil and another 4 that say plant deeper, ranging from 3 in to 8 in. How can there be such discrepancies in a simple thing like depth???
