I only had 10 seeds of this italian stringless pole bean, planted 5 and kept 5 back in case this year was a bust.

Even though planted late it looks like I'm going to get viable seed. Is anyone else growing this bean, how does it compare to the other purple varieties out there? This one is pretty enough to grow in the flower garden, a couple of pics.

The temps are starting to drop and the september rains are starting so I picked a couple that looked far enough along just in case our summer has come to an abrupt end, they had 8 beans to a pod, were paper thin and stringless. I'll have to wait till next year to try them as snaps :(.
