Growing peas after beans

Is there any reason that I should NOT plant peas in the same plot where I recently grew pole beans? The trellis is still up, which would save me some work. I will amend the soil with compost, as I do before every planting. I believe I should work the bean roots into the soil instead of removing them? Anything else I should consider?
