Dry bean varieties for Northern Climates

I'm wondering what dry bean varieties people have successfully grown in northern climates. I know that we can grow cranberry beans here but I would like to add some variety next year. Thoughts?

Years ago I grew Jacob's Cattle bush bean. It came in early and produced a nice crop of colorful, kidney shaped dry beans. I bet most any bean with a short maturity would do.

I have had good luck with Vermont Cranberry, Hutterite, Jacob's Cattle and Dr Wyches Russian.

Now you might consider growing some bush cowppeas as well for something different of which Purple Hull has done the best for me personally.
