Hi! I found this forum today searching for help with my maple. I�m not sure of the type. I want to say it is a Red Sunset Maple or a Crimson Maple. The leaves are red through the summer. I noticed last fall the bark starting to split near the ground. We had the tree in the ground two seasons. At first I didn�t think it was going to make it, but the last few days it is budding on all limbs. Is this a serious issue or can I do something to save this tree? Attached are photos. I can provide more info or additional photos. I appreciate any help. I live in WV.
