Can you elaborate--I really don't see any issues out of the ordinary. The leaves look typical of emerging leaves and while the bark is calloused in various areas it is not a leathal threat. Can you tell more about the white spots, dooping, and how it came to be? Did the leaves emerge and then droop and show white spots? Where at the spots?

I have never seen this drooping or white spots before.

Here in Virginia, we just went through and are going through .. for the next couple of nights some kind of winter freeze.

My maple started 'waking up' and producing foliage, Just before this unexpected winter blast that is hitting us now.

THIS, may be what is killing my Japanese Maple?

I'd have to agree that I don't really see anything out of the ordinary either. The drooping is pretty characteristic of what newly emerging foliage does, perhaps compounded a bit a by the cold. But I don't see any white spots of concern nor does it look like it is dying. Can you elaborate on what you think is wrong?

I'm not seeing anything either...perhaps a less blurry close up of the leaves would help. (Try changing the focus manually if you can on your camera)
