What rootstock

Hi Everybody.
I received a dissectum that i want to hopefully use as a bonsai. It has an almost 2inch trunk and was grafted. The scar dont look good and i'm thinking of cutting it just above the scar to develope some new branching. My hopes are that it is a palmatum.
I only want to do that if the rootstock is known.
Can anybody tell me what is mostly use as rootstock?
