Rooting Sugar Maple Cutting.

Hey, Is it possible to get a branch cutting to root from a Sugar Maple?

I was thinking of taking a 4 to 6 inch long cutting about pencil cutting from a Sugar Maple tree that is my Great Aunts yard this summer. I plan to stick inside a plastic 2 leader pop bottle with a mix of purlite and peat moss and water it with KLN Rooting Concentrate. I hear this is great stuff to use on cuttings.

Is May/June the best time for rooting cuttings of Sugar Maple?

My understanding is that it is possible, but with difficulty. More difficult than Red or Japanese, I think.
