acer leaf spots

My Acer(maple) has developed 1/8 to 1/4 inch brown/purple leaf spots on every leaf from the moment I planted it two years ago. Lots of spots. Spots appear shortly after leafing, but don't(so far) seem to adversly affect tree. Is this something I should worry about? If so, what is the treatment?
